Kris Lee is raising money for Cancer Connections
Story

I was going to take part in The Great North Run for the 2nd year in a row until I received this email 😞 this pandemic has caused a lot of heartache, emotion and has effected so many people in different ways... I was going to do the GNR to help raise as much money as possible for a charity based in South Shields that I hold very close to my heart “Cancer Connections” this charity does so much for people who have had or currently got cancer and they rely so much on donations.
So this is what I’m going to do...I know running on a treadmill is completely different to running on the solid ground but with everything going on, I’m going to Run 13.1 Miles on a treadmill in the grounds of Cancer Connections, I’m hoping to do this in the week of when The Great North Run should have originally took place, buckets will be on the fence for donations and a just giving page will be set up soon for online donations.
ALSO... I’m taking part in THE SOLO GREAT NORTH RUN, I’m aiming to run 100 miles from now until the date of the original GNR and that will bag me BRONZE so I can get my medal (definitely one to remember)
All this is going to help me and my mind set but it’s also going to help an amazing charity with your donations.
