Story
Uncle Owen, also affectionately known to his family & friends as Oggy, fought brain cancer for 27 years. Although he was only given one year to live when diagnosed, he fought long and hard with a courageous attitude. In January 2022, Uncle Owen's fight came to an end when he peacefully passed away surrounded by those who loved him.
After his memorial in Northern England where he lived all of his adult life, I wanted to do something in his memory and to help doctors/researchers find a cure for brain cancer/tumors.
These two goals quickly came together and I am excited that in April 2023, I will be running the London Marathon on behalf of Brain Tumor Research in Oggy's memory.
