I did it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and I did it in a chicken hat for the WHOLE thing!!!!!!!!

I complete the London Marathon in 5h16m38s....possibly the most challenging 5h16m38s of my life but what a sense of relief and pride that I felt crossing that finishing line!!

Was aiming to be under 5 hours but wacked a humungous wall at 22m and struggled til 24 so that slowed me up lots...though really kicked at 24m for the last 2.2 as just wanted to get it over and done with by that point!!!!! It was so hot and people were collapsing all over the place...quite scary really. The toilets were so annoying too with massive queues all over the place but the crowd were absolutely FANTASTIC and I could NOT have done it without them!

It was a real push seeing my chicken family and other supporters in the crowds at various points and hearing the random strangers shouting out my name...or Chicken lady... of just 'Go Chicken!!' really made me dig deep and carry on.

Now in Italy recovering and hoping to be able to walk like a normal person in the next few days!!!
