As a physical therapist at the Kids Center, I very quickly got involved in the Walk and Roll to be able to see and talk to my kids and families outside of the clinic. It is a great way to get to know our families on a different level as well as for the kids to get to see and know us outside of a therapy session. I love getting to spend time with them when I do not have to make them “work”.  The Walk and Roll is one of my favorite events at the Kids Center! I love seeing all of the Kids Center kids and their families interact, play, and have fun! It is the perfect opportunity for Kids Center kids to participate in a community event side by side with peers, socialize, and be celebrated! One of my favorite memories from a past Walk and Roll was getting to watch the excitement and joy on some of my kiddos faces when they got to dunk me while I was in the dunk tank. Seeing their faces light up and the pride in their eyes when they accomplish a goal (even if it is dunking me) is the best part of my job!! I would say the thing I love most about the Kids Center is its ability to impact and change lives. The Kids Center provides so many needed services and skills and allows its therapists the flexibility and freedom to customize and tailor every single session to each individual and their specific needs. When kids/families come in, we identify what THEIR needs and goals are, both big and small, and do everything we can to help me meet those goals and improve their quality of life.  

Supporting Kids Center kids today will help so many kids live their best lives possible!
