Story
Over the past 6 years I have lost 3 beautiful friends to cancer- Lisa, Helen and Angela, and I have seen first hand the devastating affect that life limiting illness has on individuals and their families. I think in one way or another, sadly, most of us can relate to this.
Last year my Aunt also passed away from Cancer. She told me that it was her dream to do a Wing Walk, so this is for you Lollipop.
In 2013 I was introduced to Lewis-Manning Hospice. I remember feeling so in awe of the amazing job they do, and thought how incredibly rewarding it would be to have a job knowing that you are helping people, at what must be the toughest time of their life.
Lewis-Manning Hospice Care are here to hold your hand from the time of diagnosis, and to support you for as long as possible. They are 20% funded by the NHS, and so they really do rely on donations and fund-raising to keep the incredible services from their clinical team going, and progressing. Every year they provide extraordinary care for hundreds of patients locally from the age of 18, and their families, through their important services including:
Day Hospice
Lymphoedema Clinic
Better Breathing Clinic
Creative Arts & Wellbeing
Bereavement & Family Support
If you would kindly consider sponsoring me, I would be so grateful.
