Story
The story goes.. when I was a baby I use to hate water , this included bath time as well as swimming time. When I was old enough to start swimming my parents use to force me to go, with me causing tantrums and screaming and crying but they then start bribing me with sweet, so I use to go!! As I got older my hatred for water passed and my passion for swimming grew and the tantrums stopped! I started swimming faster and become a stronger swimmer very quickly. Through my lessons and schools, I entered many swimming competitions and galas, on my own and part of a team.
As I grew older, I started to swim less but whenever on holiday I would always be the first in the pool or sea. If I got an opportunity to jump out of a boat or swim in rapids I would be the first one, despite my dad saying no! So my passion for swimming and water never stopped just time was consumed with other things.
In recent months, around 6/7 months, I started swimming again and it has been the best feeling physically and mentally. I push myself every time I go and work my arms and legs. I was given this opportunity to join my sister, cousin and my sisters friend to do this swimathon. My contribution is 90 lengths within 3 hours in a 33m pool. I hope to surpass this with enough training.
The money raise goes to the Marie Curie Trust, Cancer Research & The Swimathon trust. I have lost family members to cancer and also know of many others who have lost loved ones to cancer, so any donation small or large would be greatly appreciated and would going towards a fantastic cause to help get closer to finding a way to cure cancer
Thank you in advance
