Sunrise Trek Snowdon March 2023 · 18 March 2023 ·

Our Snowdon Sunrise Trek is our toughest challenge in the Sunrise series, asking participants to trek from the bottom of the mountain at night to reach the summit at sunrise.

Story

On Saturday the 18th March a team of Kromies, Wayne Trunchion, Nathan Butler, João Costa & Joseph Mayne have committed to joining the SSC team to climb the 1.085m summit of Mount Snowdon in the dark, reaching the peak just in time to watch the sunrise and reveal a new day.

Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales, at an elevation of 1,085 metres (3,560 ft) above sea level, and the highest point in the British Isles outside the Scottish Highlands. It is located in Snowdonia National Park in Gwynedd. On average, it can take between 5-7 hours to walk to the summit of Snowdon and back down again, Nathan, João and Joe will be starting their climb at 2.45 am.
