Krystelle's Curls are Going for Charity · 16 September 2021

Place2Be is a children's mental health charity that works to improve the emotional wellbeing of children and young people. We help them to cope with wide-ranging and often complex social issues including bullying, bereavement, domestic violence, family breakdown, neglect and trauma.

Story

If you know me, I have slowly been cutting my hair shorter and shorter, so whilst it is not too late, I will be having a sponsored cut by Sharon at Venture Hair & Beauty on Thursday 16th September.

My 7 inch, curly tresses will be giving to The Princess Trust, to help contribute the making of wigs for young people who have lost their hair through illnesses and treatment.

Your donations will be split between Place2Be and Rethink Mental Illness. Our mental health has been affected at one point or another, whether as a child, an adult or both. Having seen friends and family suffer from mental health, as well as their loved ones trying to hold the shattered pieces together, it is charities like Place2Be and Rethink Mental Illness that give us hope; showing us the light at the end of the tunnel.

Please split your donations as fair as possible :)

One in six children and young people now have a diagnosable mental health issue. That’s five children in every classroom with a condition like depression or anxiety. Place2Be is the UK's leading school-based mental health charity, providing support to children, families and school-based staff when they need it most. Please help me support Place2Be’s vital work, and together we can make a real difference to children's mental health and ensure that children don’t have to face mental health problems alone.
