Story

Please sponsor me, Belle & Penny!!!

Pendle Witch Walk – Saturday 18th August 2012

The aim of Pendle Witch Walk is to mark the 400th anniversary of the witch trials with a family oriented event that shows off the very best of Pendle – our glorious countryside, our magnificent hill and our tumultuous history!

We also want the event to be a major fundraiser for Pendleside Hospice. All monies raised from registration and sponsorship will go directly to Pendleside Hospice.
There are of course some costs associated with an event of this nature (food, t-shirts, booklets, etc.), therefore it’s really important that you not only register for the walk, but also work hard to get yourself as much sponsorship as possible! By working together, we can really make a difference for Pendleside Hospice in 2012.

The event is being organised by Simon Tattersall, Julian Jordan and Wayne Ellison, the former organisers of the highly successful Pendle Pub Walk – between 2009 and 2011. Pendle Pub Walk last year raised approximately £20,000 for Pendleside Hospice. Simon, Julian and Wayne have previously organised charity walking events that have included the Yorkshire Three Peaks Walk for Bliss (the premature baby charity), and The National Three Peaks Walk for the Kay Mason Foundation.
