Story
On Friday 25th October I will be taking on the National 3 Peaks 24-Hour Challenge.
The aim is to walk up and down the 3 highest points of Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowden) all within 24-hours.
The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft) - twice the ascent of the Yorkshire Three Peaks.
I'm raising money for The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation who are the official charity and community arm of Yorkshire County Cricket Club.
The Foundation aims to create Communities Without Boundaries and focuses on 4 core themes: Health & Wellbeing, Participation, Education and Heritage. They run a number of grassroots projects that operate in the heart of different communities across the county in an effort to make a difference to people's lives.
Cricket is the hook to initiate interest and engagement. From there the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation deliver a range of community outreach and education initiatives across the four themes.
Cricket has been a significant part of my life, firstly through playing the game, like many starting out as young child, coaching and now in my role as Physiotherapist to the Yorkshire CCC Team. Your donations will help the Foundation continue their fantastic work and engage even more people in our great game!
The Foundation receives no core funding, so is reliant on raising funds to run the charity projects. Any amount you can donate would be really appreciated.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
