Our much loved friend and colleague Billie passed away after a long and hard fought battle with cancer. Although Billie is no longer with us, her influence will always be felt in our team, our workplace and our team nights out! Billie touched the lives of everyone who worked with her, staff and students alike. She was a leader in her field of clinical and educational work and managed to do this with empathy, humour and an unrelenting energy that will never be replicated. She touched the lives of all students and staff who had the pleasure to know her. In true Billie style, knowing that she would not want us moping around, we have decided to run the Edinburgh Marathon Relay 😊 to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Macmillan are a fantastic organisation, supporting people to end their lives with dignity and they wouldn’t be able to do the work they do without our support. So in Billie’s memory we are hoping to raise £750.00 to support this amazing charity and the work they do.
