BD UK: Peak Challenge for Diabetes Research & Wellness Foundation
Over 30 days (hopefully quicker) I will be trying to climb higher than Mount Everest by climbing 1000 ft per day. All to add up to 30,000ft which will be slightly higher than the official height of Mount Everest (29,000ft). November is Diabetes awareness month and World Diabetes day is the 14th of November.
This will be a total of 44,543 step ups on my workout step....! (I aim to be at least halfway up by my birthday - 12th November!!).
DRWF are a charity that helps fund diabetes research in the UK and around the world, to help understand the causes, prevention, treatment and management.
Charities are having a hard time during the current pandemic to do their usual activities to help raise money, so I would like to be able to help support them and reach the peak of Mount Everest.
Working from home can take its toll and I am always keen to keep moving and find a new challenge, especially one that supports such a good cause. With the new lockdown, if anyone wants to remotely join me for a session of step ups I promise to match the steps you do - plus an extra 50%!
If you can donate anything it would be hugely appreciated.
