Story
On the 22nd february 2015, my partner found her mother unable to move in her home. She had suffered an Aortic dissection, the splitting of the Aortic valve. This is nearly always fatal. After a poor performance from a local hospital, Mary was moved to Norwich, and then to Papworth hospital in Huntingdon.
After 5 of the most heart wrenching days, Mary passed away. Papworth did all they could, giving Mary a fighting chance. They are a heart and lung specialist hospital, and the best at what they do in the country.
Mary was so much to so many people. To me, she was a second mum. To my partner she was her Mum and her best friend.
Unfortunatley we cant go back in time and change how things happen. What we can do is help to raise money by taking on challenges, in the hopes that those that are reading this see them as being worthy of their money. The Money is used for life saving equipment and research and training.
So, we are climbing the three tallest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales in 24 hours. Nothing easy is ever worth doing.
I hope this story makes you feel like popping a pound or two into our just giving fund.
If not, dont worry, there will be other opportunities with more challenges-i promise you that.
Wish us luck.
