I’ve set myself a personal challenge again to raise as much money as possible for Young Lives vs Cancer (formerly Clic Sergeant). YLVC supported me and my family during my treatment for Nodular lymphocyte-predominant Hodgkin lymphoma (Cancer of the Lymph Nodes).

In 2022, I challenged myself to run the London Marathon on behalf of YLVC almost 18 months after getting the all clear from cancer for the second time.

It was by far the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but also an incredible experience. I promised myself part way through the marathon that I would never do another, but after crossing the finish line and once my emotional high had returned to normal I knew that I hadn’t quite achieved everything I set out to do!

So when I got the opportunity to run the London marathon again in 2023, there was no doubt that I would say yes. In April, I’ll be running the marathon alongside my friend Ellie, and aim to raise as much money as possible for YLVC.
