Story

300 Mile T.A.B in Memory of Lorraine Jewell to support Macmillan Cancer.

I am doing my Final Charity event, after raising over £10k for Walking with the wounded over two charity events and all money going to help Military veterans with PTSD, my last final push will be for Macmillan Cancer Support. This was something my Mum asked me to do before she passed away to cancer. The support she had from Macmillan was unbelievable and will forever hold a special place in my heart. My mum passed away at the young age of 58, she was taken way to early from her family and friends. So myself and dean are going to carry 58lbs in a Bergen/rucksack and walk from Ipswich to Holyhead Mackenzie pier, 30 miles a day for 10 days. This will be my toughest test so far, mentally and physically. We will be sleeping under a poncho at night and continue our walk first thing in the morning.

This will take place on the 14th of June and finishing on the 23rd which is a Friday. On the last day of the 30 miles, I encourage anyone wishing to join us and take part are very welcome, specially if you've lost a loved one to cancer and hold a special place in your heart for Macmillan like myself.

The evening is going to be a fund raiser at Holyhead Hotspurs clubhouse, a massive thank you to Davie Hughes who reached out to myself to offer help in raising money for this event. Times to be confirmed. Everyone from family to friends who knew my mum are all welcome, will will raise a glass or two in the memory of Lorraine Jewell and dance the night away and raising as much money as possible for Macmillan Cancer Support.
