Story
Alright, me bonny lads and lasses,
Listen up, ya beautiful bunch! Thanks a million for takin' the time to check out our JustGiving page!
We're about to embark on a wee adventure called the Dundee Kilt Walk Wee Stroll. Now, it may not be the wildest ride you've ever heard of, but trust me, we're gonna make it a sensory extravaganza!
Here's the deal: Issy lives with Usher's Syndrome, a condition that gives her a double whammy of hearing and sight loss. But hey, that doesn't stop her from takin' a stroll with her trusty guide dog. Now, don't get me wrong, the dog is a top-notch companion in every other way, but unfortunately, it can't dish out audio descriptions or rock some tactile British Sign Language to help Issy fully experience her surroundings.
Enter yours truely, Kyle, the trusty co-navigator. I may not be as cute as Issy's guide dog, but I'm takin' on the mission to give her a sensory experience like no other. I'll be narrating the world around her with audio descriptions and busting out some tactile British Sign Language moves to help her grasp the size and shape of objects and buildings in bustling Dundee.
But hold on, folks, that's not all! We're not just on this crazy ride for fun—we're also on a mission to raise funds and shine a light on Deafblind Scotland. Both of us are trustees for this incredible charity that works round the clock to support awesome folks like Issy who are deafblind. They provide kick-ass services that empower, educate, and make inclusivity the name of the game.
Now, let's talk moolah. The funds we raise will have a massive impact on Deafblind Scotland's mission to make the lives of deafblind individuals even more awesome. With your generous donations, they can dish out specialized communication support, tailored training programs, epic social activities, and fight like superheroes for advocacy. Together, we're building a world where deafblind folks like Issy get the love and inclusion they deserve in every nook and cranny of society.
So, by joining us on this epic journey and supporting us with your dosh, you're not only helping Deafblind Scotland but also sending a roaring message of solidarity and support to the entire deafblind community. Your donation, no matter if it's a mountain or a molehill, will make a world of difference in creating opportunities and transforming lives.
Come on, folks! We invite you with open arms and wide grins to hop on board this life-changing adventure by donating to our JustGiving page. Your contribution will help us skyrocket past our fundraising target and leave a lasting impact on the lives of deafblind individuals. Together, we'll light up their world and sprinkle hope in the shadows of deafblindness.
Ta much, Issy and Kyle
