After climbing Kilimanjaro 3 times, I'm now ready for another challenge!  On 5th May, I'll be heading to Peru in South America to take part in Velindre's Machu Picchu Trek and my husand Mark is coming too!

Again, I will be walking for around 7-8 hours a day for 6 days, at high altitude, sleeping in a tent in minus temperatures, no shower or any other luxuries for that matter, so worthy of a few quid in sponsorship surely?!

We will be following in the footsteps of the Incas, passing snow capped mountains and glacial peaks. We end the trek at the lost city of Machu Picchu, at 4600m above sea level and Peru’s most famous Inca ruin, which had been abandoned to the forest for over 500 years until it was re-discovered in 1911 by American historian Hiram Bingham.
