Donations cannot currently be made to this page

Livestream Piano Solo Concert · 27 February 2021

We are the charity of Leeds Teaching Hospitals. We support NHS staff to deliver the best care for over a million patients and their families each year. Donations fund life-saving equipment, treatments, research and home comforts. Whatever will make the biggest impact to the people who need it most.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my just giving page.

Hi. I am Kyran Russell. 13 and attend Heckmondwike Grammar School. Each February half term I volunteer to play piano at the Bexley Wing, St.James Hospital for the Leeds Hospitals Charity and provide some therapeutic entertainment for the staff, patients and visitors as well as raising funds. This hospital helped my Grandma recover from her Cancer. Due to COVID, that is not possible this half term, so instead I live-streamed a Piano Solo Concert from home into the hospital, on Saturday 27th Feb and also try to raise some money for Leeds Hospital Charity at the same time. Please use the link below if you wish to watch a replay of the session, and enjoy the music, and if you are able to donate a little something that would be great. I played some classical, some songs from the movies, some rock, some pop and some soothing modern classical. You can view the replay using the link below

We have recorded the event (the link above) so you can watch it whenever you like, if you were unable to join us live.

Here is some information about how donations can support Leeds teaching Hospitals.

£20 can pay for a mastectomy bra for a cancer patient after surgery

£35 pays for a night at the ‘Bexley Wing Hotel’ – providing much needed accommodation for families visiting their loved ones at Leeds Cancer Centre from right across Yorkshire.

£200 pays for a wig for a patient, which can have a significant impact on their self-esteem while undergoing treatment.

Larger donations can pay for vital equipment on our wards, refurbish a waiting area or fund a research post for a whole year.

Thank you

KJ
