This Christmas I'm giving my support to victims and survivors of domestic abuse. IDAS is the largest specialist charity in Yorkshire supporting people affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence, covering York, North Yorkshire, Barnsley and Sheffield. They provide refuge accommodation, outreach services and support to children and young people. During the pandemic they have seen an increase in the need for our services; in 2020 alone IDAS dealt with over 22,000 referrals, with more than 20,000 calls to their helplines and provided direct support to more than 10,000 victims and survivors of domestic abuse.
