Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am running for the Royal Free charity specifically for Amyloidosis.
Amyloidosis is a rare disease that can affect different organs in different people. This disease took the life of my Grandad, Terry Winston, a caring, witty, loving, fun man who is very much missed. The Royal Free Hospital holds the National Amyloidosis Centre who has been at the cutting edge of treatment and research for 25 years and us responsible for the UK national Amyloidosis caseload.
When grandad was diagnosed the disease had already gone too far, if there had been more awareness he could’ve had an earlier diagnosis and maybe saved.
I am raising money so that the work the National Amyloidosis Centre can be continued and so that earlier diagnosis can be made through raising awareness.
