Lechlade to London charity row · 4 June 2014

Since our formation we have provided financial support to a number of cancer charities. Currently St Francis Hospice is the main beneficiary of this support. Together we recently held a very successful ' Charity Ball' in London to raise funds to enable them to continue their wonderful work.

Story

It was in 2010 that  5 of us embarked on a charity bike ride from Glasgow to London raising £15000 for the two children’s hospitals that looked after my daughter Florence who was ill at birth . They did such a fantastic job and with the help of Matty ,Stevie,Reg and Beefy  we were able to give something back to them.

Last year we had the idea  of a charity row, but it was just an idea  until in November I attended the YJS trust charity ball .It was due to the inspiring speech Nina gave about her mum and the trust that the idea became reality .

So here we are . The aim is to row the Thames from source ,at Lechlade , to the Isle of dogs about 150 miles in 5 days .The team consists of myself ,Matty Hearne, Stephen Hearne ,Kev Sullivan, Sean Pearse And Mick Reed. Also a big thank you to Chris Pugh who is working tirelessly behind the scenes. We are  aiming to raise the money for 4 charities
