Story

Joshua started by wanting to help children during these difficult times in lockdown. Initially he set himself the goal of running 150km over a series of weeks. We worked out this distance is the same as running from our home in Windsor to Dover, which  gave us the idea of swimming 34km across the Channel from Dover to Calais,  and finally  from Calais to Paris cycling 290km!

He completed the run section at the beginning of lockdown -  a mental and physical battle, as Joshua would admit running is his least favourite exercise!

Joshua is now half way through his marathon event and even though he swims in a lake on some cold and wet early mornings without a wetsuit, he gets out of bed at 6am a minimum three times a week to cover the distance. Each swim no less than 1.5km and some swims at 2.5km!

We thought now was the time to pester you all to help raise money for a such a great cause! We know that times are hard but every penny will help a young child in need!

After each event, we will update you on our journey to Paris we will share the highs and the lows as he drags his parents a long the way :)

A huge thank you from Joshua
