Story
In early 2020 Daniel and I lost our much wanted and longed for baby girl Melody, our worlds were turned upside down and we were left trying to navigate through the grief of her death and the traumatic experience that followed.
Losing a baby can be a very isolating time, your mind consumed with intrusive thoughts, reliving what happened and longing for what should have been. The dull ache that resides in my heart and goes unnoticed most of the time remains forever. I found it really difficult to accept what had happened.
I needed someone to talk to who wasn't connected to me, who truly understood what I was experiencing and could deal with hearing the details of my story. And this is where Petals came in, I had Counselling with the lovely Jacqui at Petals and she helped me to understand what I was going through and the different stages of grief, she also enabled me to deal with how I was feeling.
Fast forward a few years and mentally I am in a better place and would love to give something back to Petals and contribute to helping them help those who are sadly navigating their way through babyloss.
I am running the London Landmarks half marathon in April, if you could sponsor me no matter how small i would really appreciate it, thank you ❤️
