Helping out with Renovations at Mercy Rescue Trust · 17 March 2016

Mercy Rescue Trust runs a baby rescue centre in Kitale, Kenya. Babies who would otherwise be left to die are rescued, nursed back to health, and either reunited with their family or found forever families.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.  We're so excited to be doing this trip.

We have watched this fantastic charity go from strength to strength because of the hard work put in by so many fabulous supporters - one of whom is my niece (Rhiannon's cousin) Kelly.

Having purchased a new house, there is much work to be done to make it just right for the children.

One of the most important projects we want to support is the building of a new well, for both the house and surrounding community. Presently, a large hill has to be negotiated down in order to get water.  A well will make a huge difference to everyone around.

The cost is being supported by a small grant, but £6,000 is still needed. We've set our target quite high in order to help them on their way! Let's get the community better access to water!

Very many thanks for your support - we feel very privileged to be doing this trip.
