Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - We raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
The charities that we are raising funds for are The Bar Pro Bono Unit and LawWorks and all funds raised will be split between them.
Both are legal charities and we hope to raise funds for them, as the work they do is invaluable for communities and individuals who require legal assistance but are unable to access the justice system.
The Bar Pro Bono unit matches barristers with those who need their help. The barristers undertake the work for free. The aim of the unit is to help individuals who cannot afford to pay for the assistance or cannot obtain legal funding.
LawWorks is also very similar and aims to provide free legal assistance to those who cannot access legal aid and cannot afford to pay for it themselves. Last year 40,000 people were provided with free legal advice from LawWorks and 350 voluntary sector organisations also received their assistance.
We hope to raise as much money as we can by organising as many events as possible.
We are holding a cake sale at BPP Law School in Waterloo on the 14th December. In addition we are also braving a 160ft bungee jump and would love for you guys to support us!
So please dig deep and donate now!
