Story
On the Saturday the 22nd May, a team of hikers hope to scale the highest peak in the Lake District (Scafell Pike) and cover a total distance of 50 kilometres (31 miles) as part of our Foundation Fifty challenge at Kreston Reeves.
Scafell Pike is the tallest mountain in England and so not only covering 50km in distance but also climbing this mountain in the same day will be a test of the fittest.
We anticipate walking for over 15 hours and quite possibly ending the day in the dark with head torches leading us home.
We are raising money for the Kreston Reeves Foundation which makes donations to our Office Charities of the Year. The charities supported by this challenge will therefore be:
- The Samaritans (Horsham)
- Turning Tides (ending local homelessness) (Worthing)
- The Honeypot Children’s Charity (London)
- Choices – Domestic Abuse Services (Chatham)
- The Clock Tower Sanctuary (Brighton)
representing the office participation.
I hope you can find time and please sponsor us on this difficult journey.
Any amount will be welcomed, and we hope to keep you all posted with our training and progress from the day.
Thank you from the 50km team
