The Staff and Board of Lakeland Dairies are jointly committed to supporting UNICEF in helping the innocent children of Ukraine who are suffering greatly as a result of the unjust Russian war. 

We are committed to playing our part and so we are inviting all of our employees, suppliers and friends to join with us in supporting UNICEF to bring relief to the children and people of Ukraine.

As the conflict escalates, so do the needs of children and families. Hostilities are leading to loss of life and severe destruction of key infrastructure that has left hundreds of thousands of people
without safe water or electricity. Children are terrified, in shock, and desperate for safety. They are being forced to seek refuge in subways and shelters, or to flee their homes to find safety either within Ukraine or in neighbouring countries. Hundreds of thousands are on the move – most of them women and children – and many families are becoming separated.

UNICEF, together with partners, is at the forefront of the humanitarian response in eastern Ukraine and continues to reach vulnerable children and families affected by the conflict with essential services including health, education, protection, as well as water and sanitation.

The bombing has now spread to western Ukraine and so the need is even greater than it was just a number of days ago.

Here’s how your donations can directly help children in Ukraine.

€75 can provide 12,500 water purification tablets to ensure children have access to safe clean drinking water. 

€100 can supply thermal fleece blankets to protect 16 children at risk in emergency situations or harsh winter conditions.

€250 can provide 6 first aid kits to help families in need of urgent medical care.
