Story

Hospices help people and their families facing incurable illness to live well in every moment.

Back in the spring of 2021, in the darkness of the third lockdown, me and some of my lovely friends decided it would be a good idea to walk the last 15 miles of the pilgrim's way to Canterbury Cathedral in support of the Pilgrims Hospices Group and their annual fundraiser, which was also cancelled last year. What can possibly go wrong we thought. Who will moan about their aching feet? Has anyone read the Canterbury Tales? And other burning questions.

Thank you in advance for any contribution you choose to make to this wonderful hospice group as it would mean a great deal to us all.  Our merry band of wanderers are Catherine Gardiner, Connie Nolan, Becky Wing, Peter Hodges, Iain Hunter, Julia Henderson, Iris Adderley, Paul Adderley, Lynne Gill & Christabel Bradley.

We will remember Gow Hunter; 30th June 2011, Karen Ralph; 7th June 2009, Marlene Turner; 4th August 1994 and Ian Turner; October 4th 2020, Mo Mowlem August 19th 2005 and all our loved ones who live on in our hearts.

Between us we would like to raise £1,000.

Thank you
