Story

"200 Years Loyal Service to Queen and Crown"

First of all, we would like to welcome in our JustGiving Page as our Honorable Guest

For the past 200 years, from 1815 - 2015, Gurkhas have served with British forces in every major conflicts, most notably in the two World Wars where they suffered over 40,000 casualties, gaining 13 Victoria Crosses for their acts of supreme valour. They also fought in Falkland Islands in 1982.

As of 200 Years, 69 Gurkha Fd Sqn from the Queen`s Gurkha Engineers are deployed Ex Kelp Fire and Anomoi 15 to Falkland Islands. its an immense proud to be here and celebrate Gurkha 200 for genuine reason as a challenge to raise funds for charity; the Gurkha Welfare Trust (GWT), the Falklands Veteran Association (FVA) and Community Action Nepal (CAN).

The Challenge will consists of two (4 men) teams are to complete 200 km from Port San Carlos to Stanley via Goose Green. One team will complete 100 km in maximum 24 hours. This is the biggest challenge in terms of Distance, Terrain and Weather approaching towards the winter.

As I experience out on the ground, this is mid summer in Falklands but very strong wind and frequent changeable weather  can impact massively in our goal to accomplish it.

With your support, we are up for this challenge. Your little help will boost our determination and funds to reach our goal. "Your Help can change someone`s Life".

Thank you                                                                                              G200 Falklands Challenge Team
