Ever seen a lamb in a boat? What about 17 lambs in a dragon boat rowing faster than a lamb-baah-ghini? Well now is your chance!
On 15 July 2012, 17 lambs will proudly go where no lambs before them have been brave enough to venture.... to the Kingston Upon Thames' Dragon Boat Challenge. To raise money for the Mayor's Charitable Trust, three wonderful charities, they will banish the thoughts of frizzy fleeces and a possible sheep dip to take part in an exhausting day of dragon boat racing.
Proudly sponsored by The Lamb pub on the Brighton Road, Surbiton, team Lamb-baah-ghini would like to raise as much money as possible for these three small but invaluable charities:
- Yorda Adventures provide stimulating play projects and short breaks for children and young people with severe learning disabilities in the Kingston area. www.yordaadventures.co.uk
- Kingston Carers' Network supports unpaid carers ensuring they are aware of all services and benefits available to them and receive regular support through carers' groups. www.kingstoncarers.org.uk
- The Community Brain works with communities to develop social cohesion using a wide range of the arts, education and local history www.thecommunitybrain.org
These are great charities so please give generously! Ewe know ewe want to!!
