Matthew Lamb and I will be completing the Wirral Coastal Walk in June, we're hoping to fundraise for a charity that is very very important, and close to my heart, but also not that well known as others, Mind.

On the 24th June 2018 we are planning on completing the 15 mile Wirral Coastal Walk in order to fundraise for Wirral Mind, a charity dedicated to mental health support.

With first hand experience of mental health problems and the often associated stigma related to them we believe it is hugely important people who may need a helping hand have somewhere and someone to talk to if and when they require it. We hope one day mental health issues can be classed as 'normal' and others won't have to suffer in silence.

Mind provide advice and support so nobody has to face a mental health problem alone. They aim to raise awareness and promote understanding by providing services and support to those that need it. Their goal is to gain equaility for people who experience mental health issues.

We aim to raise at least £100 for Mind by completing the Wirral Coastal Walk which will help the charity to provide better support services, more talking therapies and importantly allow call handlers to answer more calls from those seeking help.

The walk is an annual event, run by the Rotary Club of North Wirral, which began in 1986 in order to provide an opportunity to exercise whilst raising money for various charities.
