We raise the funds needed to be there for the people of Devon

Story

In 2004 our twelve year old brother Alun sadly lost his brave fight against a brain tumour. We wanted to do something positive in his memory and have chosen a challenge which will raise funds for a charity that provides a vital lifeline for those in rural communities - The Devon Air Ambulance Trust

Brothers Osian, Kieran (aka Mouse), Connor and brother-in-law Oli will be walking from Lands End in Cornwall to Alun's home in the small Dartmoor Village of Lustleigh. The walk of almost 200 miles will take in 160 miles of the South West Coast Path from Lands End to Plymouth before the final push via the Erme-Plym trail and Two Moors Way to Lustleigh Village. We will be undertaking the walk between 13th - 26th May this year.

Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT) owns 2 helicopters and operates 7 days a week. Responding to approximately 1,400 incidents every year DAAT conveys patients to the specialist treatment centre most appropriate for their needs, giving them the best chance of survival. The service costs £5.5 million every year and DAAT is proud to be independent of Government and National Lottery funding, relying solely on the generous donations of people, businesses and communities.
