Story
Between 2009 and 2010 I raised £2000 for charity taking part in a sponsored diet. I lost 15 stone in 15 months which transformed my life (in more ways than you can know).
In 2012 the death of my Mum led to a depression and comfort eating started again, the pounds crept back on. Take a look at this BBC news article which includes me from 2014 where I describe my highs and lows

By 2017 following the death of my father my over eating just went out of control.
FastForward to 2019, self confidence gone, it is time to start again and this time I am raising money for the incredible Helen & Douglas Hospice for terminally ill children here in Oxford.
The timeline starts now, 1st May 2019 and each month I will be posting updates on my progress and the goal is the NHS recommended loss of 4kg (8lbs) per month with my final goal being about 78 kg (12.5 stone) over about 20 months.
Now here is the twist, every month I'm above my target weight I will donate 1/20th the current pledge to H&D. If I reach my funding target the penalty could be as much as £100!. Being a northerner I like my money more than I like my food so this should keep me on track :-)
