ELM NI aims to save lives and support those affected by Suicide and Self-harm. We aim to increase the community’s awareness around suicide and self-harm with a view to reducing the STIGMA of suicide and encouraging people to seek help. ELM NI hopes to reach as many people as possible.

Story

The last year has been very difficult for many people. The staff of Larne High School recognise that lockdown, Covid-19, exam uncertainties and remote learning have caused a lot of stress for many. We want to be able to support the work of 'Every Life Matters', a local mental health and suicide prevention charity who have worked hard to support people in Larne for years.

'Every Life Matters' have been an important part of the local community and played a vital role in the lives of many. The difficulties of the last year have seen many people turn to 'Every Life Matters' for the first time, and as a school we want to help them in the work they are doing by raising money to support them.

11 members of staff have pledged to go swimming in the sea at Ballygally, on 20th Feb 2021 (yes, February!) and brave the icy conditions, if we can raise at least £500 to support 'Every Life Matters'.

Please give generously to this very worthwhile cause.
