Snowsport changed my life, and there is nothing else that I get as passionate about. Disability Snowsport UK are changing lives too. It is a people-centred organisation with a unique sense of purpose: that anyone regardless of their ability can take part in and enjoy the thrill of snowsports. They have applied exceptional know-how and adaptability for over 30 years to enable those with a range of mobility challenges to experience the joy of skiing alongside the able-bodied.They provide exciting and life enhancing activities for individuals or groups who require adaptive equipment and/or special instruction and support.

I had a few "bumps" during my ski instructor career, which always made me think about what I would do if I had a life changing injury. I knew I would get back on snow whatever it took should the worst happen. DSUK would have been there to help me achieve that. I have met a number of their members, and when Disability Snowsport UK contacted me last year to see if I wanted to get involved with their volunteer and teaching programme at Manchesters Chill Factore, it was an easy decision to make.
