Las Iguanas £10,000 Challenge · 19 March 2016

The LATA Foundation supports grassroots social and environmental projects across Latin America, using tourism to drive positive impact. We work with local NGOs to build long-term capacity, showing that tourism can be a force for good in transforming lives and communities.

Story

Our restaurant teams from across the UK are taking part in various fundraising activities during the Easter holiday.

Come and join the fun with face painting, bake sales, Easter egg hunts and more to help us achieve our £10,000 goal by the time of our annual Awards Ceremony on the 12th May.

The LATA Foundation are our main charity partner and do a fantastic job in supporting small, grass-root organisations throughout South America and Mexico.

They make a significant difference to many families across the continent with projects ranging from clean water in Mexico and children’s dental health in Argentina, to tree planting in Peru.

The money raised will help towards the Vidarte Space, which has several projects to help underprivileged children from the favelas of Rio.

The school gives children the opportunity to express themselves through the art of ballet and activities including trips to cultural attractions, distributing toys, clothes and hygiene kits, Children’s Day and Christmas parties. None of the above would normally be possible due to their economic situation.
