3 R-C’s (Emma, Mike & Vida) are taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks on 9th September. 24 miles including 1582m of ascent in 12 hours.

Emma  was never going to run, but this is near marathon distance! After doing them all individually we thought we’d up the game (We’ve seen the top from Pen-y-Ghent, almost blown off the top of Ingleborough and couldn’t see a thing on Whernside due to low cloud! )

Training has involved walking in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside (during this lovely English Summer), dancing at festivals and perfecting the recipe for Emma’s famous Rocky Road rocket fuel to get us up the peaks!! Blister socks purchased, still in need of a flat cap and we’re almost ready to go! Hoping not to be shown up by our 14 year old (Vida). Channeling our inner Foggy, Cleggy and Compo, for those old enough to remember, all for a truly wonderful cause.

Yes we should probably be walking for a Cancer charity as we all want it to go for good, we have had many friends and family diagnosed and too many are not with us now. But for all who have been through or are going through the horrors of battling cancer the MacMillan team have been incredible in the compassion and support to both patient and their families.
