I am not asking you to support me, I am asking you to support the people who need the help and if you were forced to be in their position, you would hope some one would do the same for you.

In the Gaza Strip alone, there are currently 1.8 million Palestinians living in conditions surrounded by poverty and violence beyond our imagination.

Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip inhabit an area 1/5th the size of London (13.7 million people) with over 3 times the amount of people per square kilometre alone, while it has been rapidly decreasing over the years.

1.2 million people have a scarce water supply available or shelter17,200 homes have been destroyed or severely damaged from territorial conflicts.

Because of this, 475,000 people live in emergency shelters or with other families and 100,000 are completely homeless, which is nearly one third of the population !

244 schools in Gaza have been destroyed or damaged because of the ongoing conflict, it has left this Arabic speaking Native country at a 40% pass rate for their own languageHalf a million children were unable to attend school last year.

At least 370,00 children are required direct psychological support due to the devastating effects of war. All 900,000 children have been affected at some level and need psychosocial therapy. This is over half of the population.

Because of the controlled barricade around Gaza, everything from food, water, building supplies to family members are rationed and prevented under jurisdiction.

In August I will begin my travel from Shanghai to the U.K by land, I believe it is a 14,000 km journey. Which will be completely funded by my own savings.

Throughout this journey I intend to raise as much money as possible for this Fundraiser while documenting my journey.

I intend to visit Palestine myself, to ensure 100% of all funds raised will go directly to the families and community that are in need of foreign aid.

It takes as little as £20 to feed a family for a month.

Please be aware that the more money that is raised means the more this cause will be able to provide to those in need.

Please share this around to raise more awareness for these issues that need addressing.

Thank you all so much !

You can follow my journey on www.latifshakir.com/fundraiser, where I will document my travels and update you on the fundraiser (https://www.justgiving.com/Latif-Shakir/)
