On Sunday 10th April, we will be taking part in the sponsored canoe challenge across the full length of the beautiful Lake Windermere. There will be 10 of us supporting each other through the challenge all in aid of Lancashire Youth Challenge.

For those of you who know who know me and my colleagues, will know the work and interventions we do with young people in the community. 

LYC are invaluable in supporting us in our job roles and signposting young people to positive activities and support them through personal challenges, trauma and adverse experiences. LYC enables young people to gain opportunities to increase self esteem,  improved wellbeing and mental health. LYC staff members and volunteers become the young peoples heroes, that they may never have had.

Young people deserve a chance to grow, learn and develop in a nurturing environment and LYC offers this and more.
