Story
Over 85,000 women and 12,000 men in the UK are raped each year, and many more never report it. Many others are sexually assaulted, harassed or abused. One in three women have experienced sexual violence; ONE IN THREE - that’s a ridiculously heartbreaking number.
Rape Crisis are a really worthy and brilliant organisation who help to support victims of sexual violence. They offer free counselling, face to face and over the phone, and provide further help, information and coping strategies to victims.
The funding to Rape Crisis is constantly being lowered, meaning waiting lists are getting longer and longer and resources are harder to come by. It leaves people without a voice and the help they need to move on from a traumatic experience. No one should feel alone or ashamed through this time.
Anyone who has survived sexual assault deserves help and support, and to live a safe, happy and strong life. Please support and donate whatever you can afford.
