BUPA Great North Run 2013 · 15 September 2013 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As most people know I ran this race last year for the Stroke Association in memory of my nan because we lost her to a stroke in Dec 2011 and she loved the Great North Run.

I grew up watching the race with her whilst my dad ran and always told her one day I would run my own race, I always imagined she would be at the finish line waiting for me just as we had done for my dad.

I enjoyed the experience so much last year I wanted to repeat it this year! Its an amazing feeling to cross that finish line and all the hard work training is worth it.
