The Charley Ashton Foundation was set up in Charley Ashton's memory to support individuals with rare cancers by funding alternative treatments and offering tailor-made grants to improve their quality of life.

Story

Dear friends and family,

In one week's time I will be running the Edinburgh Half Marathon, and using the challenge as an opportunity to raise funds for The Charley Ashton Foundation.

The foundation was set up in memory of the beautiful and larger than life Charley Ashton, who sadly lost her battle to a very rare cancer on April 14th, 2017.

Whilst battling her own cancer, Charley was committed to setting up a charity to support patients just like her; patients suffering from a rare cancer who struggled to pay their bills, to pay for childcare, psychological support, transport to and from medical appointments, alternative treatments such as yoga, meditation, oxygen chambers, and to financially support their family.

The Charley Ashton Foundation was created in February 2018 in Charley’s memory to support individuals with rare cancers by funding alternative treatments and offering tailor-made grants to improve their quality of life.

I would be grateful if you would consider donating, to support my marathon challenge, and ultimately support The Charley Ashton Foundation.

Charley - you are dearly missed. x
