As most of you know from my dull status updates I am running London marathon this year after swearing to myself i'd never do another again but after a silly drunken bet once again i'm attempting to run 26.2 miles in 2 weeks time. I can promise you all this is my last attempt as the training is way worse than i remember and agree with jenny this distance is what cars are made for!

As I was lucky/unlucky enought to get a ballot place I've decided to make good use of this pain and raise money for a very worthy local cause.

Everyday approximately 75 children in the uk are born or diagnosed with a serve disability or rare syndrom. Respite care can provide parents with a much needed rest from their responsibilities plus helping the child experience new pursuits.

Lyndon house Solihull caters for children up to age of 16 with a learning disability and health needs who are registered with a solihull GP. There are approx 60 children who currently use Lyndon House. It provides short breaks and aims to provide a quality health service to children and their families or carers, assessing each childs individual needs and planning a range of theraputic interventions to meet these needs in a friendly environment.
