Sadly, in June this year, my wonderful, brave mother-in-law (Jackie) lost her battle with pancreatic cancer.

The Douglas Macmillan Hospice home care team provided us with round the clock care and support at this very sad time.  We have decided that we want to support this charity and we will be attempting a 20 mile trek around the Peak District at the end of October (me in flat shoes!).

Douglas Macmillan Hospice is a local, independent, registered charity for people in North Staffordshire and surrounding areas who are faced with cancer and other terminal illnesses.  Care, help and support is given to patients, their families and carers at the Hospice in Blurton, in the community and at home.
