Hello! Thank you for visiting my Just Giving page. I have volunteered to take part in an 8 day ‘arctic survival challenge’ as part of a team of 15 colleagues from DHL, to raise money for The Royal British Legion (RBL). It will take place in the wilderness of Raftlaven, Sweden, near the Arctic Circle. The challenge will involve various survival tasks such as building shelters to sleep in from surrounding trees and tunnelling down in to the snow, ice fishing, husky riding, cross country skiing and more. 

The most important reason for taking part in this challenge is to raise my target of £2,500 for RBL, who provide lifelong support to serving and ex-serving men, women and their families. The money raised from this challenge will contribute to the amazing variety of much needed services that RBL provide, from supporting the Armed Forces community, to living safely at home and learning to adapt to civilian life, to expert rehabilitation programmes for physical and mental wellbeing. 

Anyone that knows me, will know that I hate being cold, I am not athletic and I love my sleep! So the survival tasks in this challenge will definitely push me to my limits, but knowing that it is all in aid of raising money for an extremely important charity makes it more than worth it and will encourage me to keep training and fundraising!
