I decided in April to start training for the Nationwide Swindon Half Marathon after being inspired by the London Marathon. I wanted to set myself a challenge especially as I have never run before.

I decided to run for the NSPCC, as having two small children of my own, I cannot believe how anyone would want to cause them harm through either abuse, neglect or bullying. It is beyond me. I want to support the fantastic work carried out by the NSPCC in offering vunerable children comfort, support and advice when they need it the most. All the money I raise will go towards the ChildLine service which is mainly run by volunteers. They rely on the generosity of people like you to continue their work and be there for children 24 hours a day.
