Story
I decided to sign up for the marathon last April on a whim - it's my first marathon (potentially the last!) with my friend Lotty. Since the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon is the first marathon to come to Leeds in 20 years and for an amazing cause, I had to get involved.
My husband lost a dear friend, Robert Davidson, to Motor Neurone Disease over 6 years ago and the charity I am fundraising for is in memory of him. The Robert Sinclair Davidson Foundation is a charity that offers financial support to young couples and families who have been affected by life threatening and terminal illness.
The training is a huge commitment - we aren't winging it and there's been blood, sweat and tears so far! I'm inspired everyday to keep going by the families affected by MND and the incredible work these charities do.
We'll keep sharing our journey and any donation however big or small can make a difference!
