Hello, I’m Ben and I’ve just turned 13 years old. I started running about 2 years ago after I had a go at a park run. I walked a lot and decided I needed to improve my running. I now really enjoy running because it gives me freedom, keeps me fit and I like the challenge. I’ve now done about 15 park runs which are 5k in length. I wanted to do something longer and so I decided to double it to 10k. 

I’m a member of Sea Cadets and I think it’s a brilliant organisation. It challenges teenagers and teaches them many skills to do with the Navy such as fun outdoor activities, sailing, marching and history of the Fleet. I absolutely love it. 
Since Covid, Stockport Sea Cadets have been short of staff and funds so I decided to run my first 10k to raise some money for them. Please support me when I do this run. I won’t find it easy but I’m determined to do my best and enjoy the experience. 
I know times are hard but if you can donate towards my fund raising that would be brilliant.
