Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On February 16th 2015, we sadly lost my gorgeous, darling mum to a rare condition called Amyloidosis. We were, however, lucky enough to spend the last 2 weeks with her at Princess Alice Hospice.
When you think about someone dying, you wouldn't usually think of the word lucky, but it's a place different from everything else you are used to connected with medicine; be it a hospital, an ambulance, or home care. Princess Alice Hospice allowed my mum to have a peaceful ending, and live out her last days in a calm, caring and homely environment, stress and pain free.
It was also an absolute saviour for me and my family, a lot who had travelled across the world to be with mum, and they looked after us all so well.
It's difficult to say enough thank you's to the staff and the organisation as a whole, and they survive off 90% in donations, so I thought it fitting, with it being the 4th Anniversary of losing mum and because she was such a keen runner herself, I'm going to run for them instead.
They've given me a place in the Hampton Court Half Marathon, and I'd ask you to donate what you can in memory of the fabulous, caring and loving lady that was my mum!
