Hello, and welcome to my fundraising page! I am raising money to support Thompson Island Outward Bound. All funds raised through my efforts will go directly to support the free programs offered to Boston's youth, and will help students realize their full potential through a mix of academic and social-emotional learning on an Island in the heart of Boston Harbor. National research on the opportunity gap reveals that students from vulnerable communities experience an average of 6,000 fewer hours of out-of-school enrichment than their peers from higher socio-economic backgrounds. The COVID-19 pandemic is widening this gap, so hands-on academic and outdoor education will be more important than ever for the students Thompson Island Outward Bound serves, once they can safely return to the Island's shores.
